What is HD?
Human Development is the means and purpose of Sustainable Development, and vice versa. We cannot have the one without the other. Its objective, as stated by UNDP in 1990, is to create “an enabling environment for people to enjoy long, healthy and creative lives”, and it is defined as “the process of enlarging people’s choices”. Human Development is undivided from Sustainable Development, and to become an effective agent of Human Development is identical to apply Sustainable Leadership.
How does the CAVE Approach© serve Sustainable Leadership?
The CAVE Approach© inspired by and greatly relying on Aristotle’s work Nicomachean Ethics, offers a unique holistic model of sustainable leadership; It offers the universal and timeless criteria of sustainable performance which ensure that every behavior and action is sustainable, and also offer the fundamental capabilities for Human Development. Moreover, it offers people the framework to develop into sustainable leaders capable to drive changes that promote Sustainable Development and Human Development.
